Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay fighter from Thailand, as well as mixed martial artist competing at flyweight of the UFC. Shevchenko's older sister is of the former UFC Flyweight champion and the other UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Mill at the end of the tournament by a unanimous decision. In 2012, she was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she took home the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won by a unanimity. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight back in 2002 against Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won in the second round of a TKO fight, and the subsequent two games at WXF: X-Impact World Championships which resulted in her having a record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She returned to fight Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui's fight in a unified decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in unanimity. She left in 2018 the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior striking techniques to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina was awarded an UFC deal. Antonina did her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision following her first fight. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. In the past, Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos and.
